I’m one of those people who love to bookmark EVERYTHING! My thought process is that you never know when you might need to check that out again. What I mean by “that” is maybe you’re curious about LeBron Jame’s tattoo and what they are to lyrics to one of LAMFO’s Party Rock Anthem songs. You scavange around the internet like a person at 2:00am with the beer munchies until you find the perfect site with exactly what you want. The purpose of a bookmarking site is to take the place of your “favorites” tab (at least that’s how I understand it) and it’s accessable where ever and whenever you want as long as you have internet access. One thing that I learned was that having the favorites tab loaded down with favorites is actually slowing down your browser. I didn’t buy it… but I haven’t had the “jewels” to cut the favorites down yet.
While checking through site-reference.com and finding an article about social bookmarking, it gave a few sites to focus on. It also kept mentioning SEO’s. What is a SEO? That’s what I said! I learned that a SEO is a Search Engine Optimizer (or Optimization) and it is the “art of getting the search engine’s of the world (primarily Google) to rank you highly for lots of different keywords” according to the definiton given by the websiteobsession.com people. By way of how you title your article, given certain keywords, will dictate how you get ranked. There are other ways, but we aren’t talking about that right now…. in due time my friends… in due time.
Site-reference.com listed a top 9 of bootmarking sites… number 10 just said to look for more :)
